There are many tasks you perform for your business on a daily basis. Some are things all business people have to do while others are unique to your type of company. Wondering just what else you can do to boost productivity and results? Here are 3 things every business owner should do every day:
Most of us have plans for what we want to accomplish this year, this month, and even this week. How about today? Have a list of goals for the day as well as the tasks required to reach those goals. The list is a little thing, which you can either type up or hand write, but it can go a long way toward improving your focus and productivity. Have others with you? Share the list with them, so they know exactly where you’re going for the day and can share in the satisfaction of crossing things off the list.
Rediscover your phone.
We handle so much digitally these days, and while there are benefits to that, it doesn’t hurt to work in some personal connection each day. From time to time, pick up the phone to thank a business associate or to invite a connection to an event. Pick up the phone and say hello or reconnect with someone you met at a networking event. Making the effort to connect this way can help you develop and maintain relationships important for your business.
Pay attention to social media.
We all know how important social media can be, right? But when all of your other business responsibilities start to pile up, it becomes hard to stick with it. The easiest way to avoid letting your posting, commenting, and sharing lapse is to schedule in time to do it each day. Maybe an hour out of your schedule? If you simply do not have the time, designate someone else in your organization to handle it. Don’t forget to keep up with your blog, too. It’s a good idea to post two to three times a week.
What do you intend to do differently this year? Share with us in the comments. We want to hear from you!
